Calypso Racing

Our Mission

Calypso is a team of sailors who are seeking adventure and competition from offshore sailing. Our aim is to keep racing at the highest level possible, whilst also managing other aspects of life…family, career etc. We are not pro sailors but ’re not amateurs either. We’re busy with other life adventures, but the sea keeps calling us back, and from time to time, we disconnect from our hectic lives and come back to water.

The aim of Calypso Racing is to operate an affordable but competitive and exciting offshore sailing campaign. We have our sights set on winning the Rolex Middle Sea Race and other Mediterranean races too. To achieve our goals, we look for a boat that is: exciting to sail (planes downwind), optimised for IRC performance, and rewards technical sailing. We are not optimising for comfort, in fact, the less comfortable the better!
